Job Goal: The Human Resource Associate completes a variety of tasks that support the daily operations of the Human Resources department to ensure an efficient and seamless onboarding experience and a welcoming atmosphere for all school personnel.
Qualifications:
- Minimum, one (1) year of experience in an office and/or professional setting;
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and Google Workspace;
- Excellent oral, written, and listening skills;
- Proven ability to self-motivate and work independently as well as part of a team;
- Can take on a variety of tasks, is adaptable, and can anticipate opportunities for additional contributions;
- Ability to multitask and set priorities for self, and manage time to achieve goals/complete projects on or ahead of schedule;
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of individuals;
- Ability to streamline and simplify reports and processes;
- High level of integrity and confidentiality; and
- Experience with HRIS system(s) preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the HR Manager and HR Specialist with the onboarding process for new hires;
- Maintain office files and records, including personnel records and related documents;
- Create and issue staff ID badges and handle any requests regarding them (replacements, etc.);
- Maintain staff ID badge database;
- Process CORI records for all school employees, volunteers, and student teachers, including reprocessing of CORIs for current employees;
- Maintain Student Teacher enrollment database; works with school administrators to collect required documentation;
- Process letters of suitability;
- Submit OBRA forms to our third-party administrator (Empowerment);
- Submit SSA-1945 forms to MTRS;
- Assist employees with requests and questions;
- Assist with special projects and conduct necessary research as needed;
- Accurate data entry required; and
- Completes other HR duties as assigned.
