Job Goal: The Healey Families Initiative seeks to close the disengagement gap among the historically marginalized families by facilitating monthly parent support groups in Portuguese and Spanish in order to support parents to feel empowered and to advocate for their children’s education.
We are seeking caregivers and community members to help support our work with Healey families.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of child development
- Experience working with marginalized families
- Ability to establish good working relationship with children, parents, and other staff
- Bilingual preferred
Description of Duties:
- Manage an area of HFI's programming__childcare, meeting agendas, funding and budget, etc.
- Attend bi-weekly team meetings at the Healey School or remotely
- Attend monthly HFI Caregiver meetings
- Provide outreach to families and make referrals to the HFI
- Approximately X hours per week
Terms of Employment:
Yearly Appointment
Septemer 2024- June 2025
Stipend: $1,500 per year
Reports to: School Building Principal
