Job Goal:  Make food literacy and garden education programming available to staff and students and ensure school gardens are regularly used, stewarded, and improved.

 

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the garden space and supplies at your school 
• Create a maintenance plan for the garden during the school year
• Collaborate with other champions to plan garden use aligned with SPS curricula
• Promote and support on-going use of the garden by school staff
• Coordinate with PTA and families to support garden maintenance over the summer

 

Qualifications:

• Gardening experience preferred
• Available to work afterschool hours

 

Terms of Employment

• Yearly Appointment
• September - June
• $30 per hour worked
• Maximum of 30 work hours per year school year

 

Reports to:  District Wellness Coordinator
