Requirements:

• Appropriate DESE Licensure 

One or more of the following specialized trainings will be required:

• Specialized Intensive Program medically fragile/severe special needs (S.K.I.P.) 
• Life Skills; self-contained; certified Special Needs. to work in conjunction with the Somerville Recreation Department (students with severe cognitive disabilities)-CPI trained. (1-7), (8-Transition)
• K-6 self-contained, social/emotional/therapeutic - CPI trained
• Autism - CPI trained
• Special Education Kindergarten
• Pre-school - CPI trained

Experience working with one or more of the following populations:

• Students with ASD
• Students with multiple disabilities
• Students with emotional impairments
• Students with cognitive impairments
• Students with multiple disabilities

Terms of Employment: 4 Week Program

• Monday – Friday Schedule, 7:45am-1:30pm

• Stipend: $40 per hour
• Start Date: July 6, 2023 
• End Date: August 2, 2023 
• Mandatory Orientation and Professional Development Days: Week of June 26, 2023

Terms of Employment: 5 Week Program

• Monday – Friday Schedule, 7:45am-1:30pm

• Stipend: $40 per hour
• Start Date: July 6, 2023 
• End Date: August 9, 2023 
• Mandatory Orientation and Professional Development Days: Week of June 26, 2023

All Staff: 

• There is a mandatory Orientation Day in June, date is TBD
• There is a mandatory Professional Development Day in June, date is TBD
